Tree in Mist

A solitary tree stands in a field, wrapped in mist with soft light coming from behind it. The photograph belongs to the Hidden Worlds collection, in which Zvi Aharon photographs things people pass without stopping. Here the mist removes every unnecessary detail and leaves one structure: trunk, branches and light. It is the exact opposite of the painting — in painting the form rises from within, while in photography the form already exists in the world and only waits for someone to notice it.
