Figures in Dry Leaves

Curled dry leaves hang from a branch against a clean blue sky. The shapes formed in drying look like small figures — a body, a head, a movement. It is exactly the mechanism at work in Zvi Aharon's paintings, only reversed: here nature made the form and the photographer only recognised it. The contrast between dry brown and sharp blue brings the figures out without any processing.
