Pain of Passion

An acrylic on watercolor paper, 29.5 × 42 cm, in which red is the central force. Doubled, circling red lines move across the sheet and create a sense of a body, an embrace or a wound — depending on the viewer. Blue and white enter as counterweight and soften the intensity. The work was made in continuous movement, almost without pauses, and it is one of the most direct examples of the way Zvi Aharon translates feeling into gesture and colour instead of describing it.
