Men in Turmoil

An acrylic on watercolor paper, 30 × 50 cm, in deep blue and black. Broad brush movements form a vortex, and within it human figures are implied, swept along and resisting at the same time. The title is a working title and may be revised. Here too the image was not planned: colour and movement led, and the figures appeared along the way. The work is about the force that pulls a person inward — pressure, confusion, intense feeling — and about the few points of light that remain inside it.
